4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal Antibody (MA5-45859) in DB
Dot blot analysis using 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal. Samples were incubated with 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45859) at 1:1,000 for 2 hours at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP at 1:3,000 for 1 hour at RT. The quantities of protein spotted on each panel are as shown.

A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45859 was sufficient for detection of 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal in 1 µg of 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal-BSA conjugate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Specific for 4-Hydroxy-2-hexenal. Slight cross-reactivity with 4-Hydroxynonenal. Does not cross-react with Acrolein, Crotonaldehyde, Hexanoyl Lysine, Malondialdehyde, or Methylglyoxal modified proteins.
Target Information
4-Hydroxynonenal, or 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal or 4-HNE or HNE, (C9H16O2), is an alpha,beta-unsaturated hydroxyalkenal that is produced by lipid peroxidation in cells. 4-HNE is the primary alpha,beta-unsaturated hydroxyalkenal formed in this process.
