Flow cytometry analysis of CD97 in stimulated human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) using CD97, PE Recombinant Monoclonal (Product # MA5-46732). Human PBMC were stimulated with immobilized anti-human CD3 antibody (1 μg/mL for coating culture wells), in the presence of recombinant human IL-2 (200 IU/mL final concentration) for 7 days.

Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human CD97 (Met1-Gln398) and conjugated with PE under optimum conditions, the unreacted PE was removed.
Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2C-8C for twelve months without detectable loss of activity. Protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze! Sodium azide is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Flush with large volumes of water during disposal.
Target Information
CD97 is a G-protein-coupled seven-span transmembrane adhesive receptor that is constitutively expressed on granulocytes and monocytes and rapidly upregulated on T and B cells upon activation. CD97 is produced in alternatively spliced forms and its cellular ligand is CD55 (DAF), which protects various cell types from complement-mediated damage. Interaction of CD97 on leukocytes and CD55 on vessel cells probably facilitate leukocyte activation and migration into the tissues, similarly, CD97 seems to play a role in tumour migration and invasiveness. CD97 is involved in T cell regulation and peripheral granulocyte homeostasis.
