PA5-30087 targets MAG in WB and IHC (P) applications and shows reactivity with Human, Rat, and mouse samples.
The PA5-30087 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 29 and 356 of Human MAG.
Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane protein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is thought to be involved in the process of myelination. It is a lectin that binds to sialylated glycoconjugates and mediates certain myelin-neuron cell-cell interactions. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
