MCT1 Antibody (PA5-72957) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of MCT1 in Ntera2 cells. Samples were incubated with MCT1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-72957) using a dilution of 2 µg/mL overnight at 4°C followed by anti-rabbit Dylight 488 (Green) at a dilution of 1:1,000 dilution for 60 minutes. Cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes and permeabilized in 0.05% Triton X-100 in PBS for 5 minutes. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 100X objective and digitally deconvolved.

SLC16A1 is a monocarboxylate transporter (MCT1) that mediates the movement of lactate and pyruvate across cell membranes. Import and export of these substrates by tissues such as erythrocytes, muscle, intestine, and kidney are ascribed largely to the action of a proton-coupled MCT.
