MCT4 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Various lysates were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with (Product # 22787-1-AP) MCT4 antibody at dilution of 1:20,000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

MCT4 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of HepG2 cells using 22787-1-AP (MCT4 antibody) at dilution of 1:50 and Rhodamine-labeled goat anti-rabbit IGG (red).

MCT4 Antibody in Flow Cytometry (Flow) — 1X10^6 HepG2 cells were stained with 0.2ug MCT4 antibody (22787-1-AP, red) and control antibody (blue). Fixed with 90% MeOH blocked with 3% BSA (30 min). Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IGG (H+L) with dilution 1:1000.

Target Information

Lactic acid and pyruvate transport across plasma membranes is catalyzed by members of the proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter (MCT) family, which has been designated solute carrier family-16. Each MCT appears to have slightly different substrate and inhibitor specificities and transport kinetics, which are related to the metabolic requirements of the tissues in which it is found. The MCTs, which include MCT1 (SLC16A1; MIM 600682) and MCT2 (SLC16A7; MIM 603654), are characterized by 12 predicted transmembrane domains (Price et al., 1998 [PubMed 9425115]).
