PA1-29183 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (paraffin tissue), and Western blot applications.
The PA1-29183 immunogen was raised against amino acids 1-76 of MMP-2 of human origin.
MMPs are proteolytic enzymes capable of degrading connective tissue components. They have a common mode of activation, a conserved amino acid sequence in the putative metal binding-active site reagion, and are inhibited by specific tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases (TIMPs).
