Human MPI shares 88.8% and 86.7% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat MPI, respectively.
Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human Caco-2 whole cell, human HEK293 whole cell, rat brain tissue, rat lung tissue, rat heart tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse lung tissue. IHC: human intestinal cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, rat brain tissue. Flow: A549 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
Phosphomannose isomerase catalyzes the interconversion of fructose-6-phosphate and mannose-6-phosphate and plays a critical role in maintaining the supply of D-mannose derivatives, which are required for most glycosylation reactions. Mutations in the MPI gene were found in patients with carbohydrate-deficient glycoprotein syndrome, type Ib.
