Western Blot using MUSK Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80835) at 1:500 dilution. Lane A: HL60 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane B: PC3 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary antibody: Goat Anti- RabbitIgG H&L (DyLight™ 800) at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the Odyssey technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 104 kDa. Observed band size: 113 kDa. (We are unsure of the identity of these extra bands).

This antibody has specificity for Human MUSK.
Target Information
MUSK plays an important and selective role in many aspects of skeletal muscle development and function through the initial step of postsynaptic differentiation and formation of end-plate bands in cooperation with Rapsyn. Communication between cells is often mediated by receptors on the surface of the target cell that are triggered by specific ligands released by other cells. Receptor tyrosine kinase activity is strictly regulated by the binding of the appropriate ligand to the extracellular active site of the receptor. MuSK has been shown to be part of the agrin signaling complex and plays an important role in the development and architectural maintenance of the neuromuscular junction.
