Munc13-4 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemical analysis of Munc13 4 in paraffin embedded human thymus using a Munc13 4 polyclonal antibody (Product #PA5-18550) at a concentration of 2.5 µg/mL. Steamed antigen retrieval was performed with pH 6 buffered citrate. Samples were then stained with alkaline phosphatase.

Munc13-4 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot staining of Human T-lymphocyte lysate using Product # PA5-18550 at a concentration of 2 µg/mL, the primary antibody incubation was 1 hour and the detection method was chemiluminescence.

This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, porcine and rat based on sequence homology.

Target Information

This gene encodes a protein that is a member of the UNC13 family, containing similar domain structure as other family members but lacking an N-terminal phorbol ester-binding C1 domain present in other Munc13 proteins. The protein appears to play a role in vesicle maturation during exocytosis and is involved in regulation of cytolytic granules secretion. Mutations in this gene are associated with familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis type 3, a genetically heterogeneous, rare autosomal recessive disorder.
