Asparagine-tRNA ligase (EC 220.127.116.11) catalyzes the chemical reaction: ATP + L-asparagine + tRNAAsn <---> AMP + diphosphate + L-asparaginyl-tRNAAsn. This enzyme participates in alanine and aspartate metabolism and aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis.
