NIK Antibody (PA1-41320) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of NIK in HeLa cells. Samples were incubated with NIK polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-41320) using a dilution of 1:100 dilution overnight at 4°C followed by Dylight 488 (Green) at a dilution of 1:500. Cells were fixed for 10 minutes using 10% formalin and then permeabilized for 5 minutes using 1X TBS + 0.5% Triton-X100. Target Information
MAP3K14 (NIK) is structurally related to MAP3Ks. MAP3K14 phosphorylates and activates CHUK (IKKalpha) and IKBKB (IKK beta), which in turn phosphorylate IkB-alpha, releasing NF-KappaB leading to up-regulation of inflammatory response genes. This kinase binds to TRAF2 and stimulates NF-kappaB activity. It shares sequence similarity with several other MAPKK kinases. It participates in an NF-kappaB-inducing signalling cascade common to receptors of the tumour-necrosis/nerve-growth factor (TNF/NGF) family and to the interleukin-1 type-I receptor.
