NIK Antibody (PA5-100732) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of NIK in mouse testis tissue. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with NIK polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100732) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

Target Information
MAP3K14 (NIK) is structurally related to MAP3Ks. MAP3K14 phosphorylates and activates CHUK (IKKalpha) and IKBKB (IKK beta), which in turn phosphorylate IkB-alpha, releasing NF-KappaB leading to up-regulation of inflammatory response genes. This kinase binds to TRAF2 and stimulates NF-kappaB activity. It shares sequence similarity with several other MAPKK kinases. It participates in an NF-kappaB-inducing signalling cascade common to receptors of the tumour-necrosis/nerve-growth factor (TNF/NGF) family and to the interleukin-1 type-I receptor.
