          NMDAR1 Antibody (OMA1-04010) in WB

Western blot analysis was performed on Tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Mouse Pup Brain (Lane 1), Mouse Brain (Lane 2) and Rat Brain (Lane 3). The blot was probed with Anti- NMDAR1 Monoclonal Antibody (Product # OMA1-04010,1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A28177, 0.25 µg/mL, 1:4000 dilution). A 107 kDa band corresponding to NMDAR1 was observed across all the tissues tested. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

          Product Specific Information

In Western blot, this antibody detects a single ~120 kDa protein representing NR1 in rat brain homogenate. It shows no cross-reactivity with any of the NR2 subunits.

Reconstitute with 50 µL of PBS.

          Target Information

NMDAR1 encodes a protein that is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily which are heteromeric protein complexes with multiple subunits arranged to form a ligand-gated ion channel. These subunits play a key role in the plasticity of synapses, which is believed to underlie memory and learning. Cell-specific factors are thought to control expression of different isoforms, possibly contributing to the functional diversity of the subunits. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
