NPC1L1 Antibody (PA1-16800) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of NPC1L1 in HepG2 cells. Samples were incubated with NPC1L1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-16800) using a dilution of 2 µg/mL overnight at 4°C followed by anti-rabbit Dylight 488 (Green) at a dilution of 1:500. Cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 min and permeabilized in 0.05% Triton X-100 in PBS for 5 minutes. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 100X objective and digitally deconvolved.

Target Information
Dietary consumption and intestinal cholesterol absorption contribute to plasma cholesterol levels, which factor into the risk of coronary heart disease. Niemann-Pick type C1 Like 1 protein (NPC1L1 or NPC3) is enriched in the small intestine and is found in the brush border membrane of enterocytes. It plays a critical role in absorption of intestinal cholesterol.
