OA1 Antibody (OSR00146W-100UL) in IHC (P)
IHC-P on paraffin sections of human eye. HIER: Tris-EDTA, pH 9 for 20 min using Thermo PT Module. Blocking: 0.2% LFDM in TBST filtered thru 0.2 µm. Detection was done using Novolink HRP polymer from Leica following manufacturers instructions. Primary antibody: dilution 1:1000, incubated 30 min at RT using Autostainer. Sections were counterstained with Harris Hematoxylin.

Target Information
Ocular albinism type 1 protein is a conserved integral membrane protein with seven transmembrane domains. It is expressed in the eye and epidermal melanocytes. Defects in GPR143 are the cause of ocular albinism type 1 (OA1); also known as Nettleship-Falls type ocular albinism. OA1 is an X-linked disorder characterized by severe impairment of visual acuity, retinal hypopigmentation and the presence of macromelanosomes.
