PA5-34873 targets OASL in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-34873 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 231 and 470 of OASL (Uniprot ID#Q15646).
Store product as a concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening the vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), product can be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store product at -20° C or below, avioiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Does not have 2'-5'-OAS activity, but can bind double-stranded RNA. Displays antiviral activity against encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) via an alternative antiviral pathway independent of RNase L.
