NEK6 Antibody (PA5-48647) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of NEK6 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded mouse heart tissue. Samples were incubated with NEK6 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-48647) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Target Information
NEK6 kinase is a member of the NEK family. NEK6 is a serine/threonine kinase that controls the initiation of mitosis and is required for the metaphase-anaphase transition. The Aspergillus nidulans 'never in mitosis A' (NIMA) gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase that controls initiation of mitosis. NIMA-related kinases (NEKs) are a group of protein kinases that are homologous to NIMA. Evidence suggests that NEKs perform functions similar to those of NIMA. NEK6 encodes a NEK type protein kinase, which contains a C-terminal NIMA-like catalytic domain.
