Immunohistochemical analysis of CYP2A13 in Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue. Samples were probed with a CYP2A13 Antibody (C-term) (Product # PA5-49618) followed by peroxidase-conjugation to the secondary antibody, and DAB staining.

Target Information
CYP2A13 belongs to the cytochrome P450 superfamily. These anzymes are monooxygenases which catalyze several reactions related to drug metabolism and to the synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. CYP2A13 is involved in the metabolism of 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone, a nitrosamine specific to tobacco.
