TIMP4 Antibody (PA5-95447) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of TIMP4 using anti-TIMP4 antibody (Product # PA5-95447) . TIMP4 was detected in a section of HepG2 cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 2μg/mL rabbit anti-TIMP4 antibody (Product # PA5-95447) overnight at 4°C. Human TIMP4 shares 92.2% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat TIMP4.
Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.
Positive Control - WB: rat heart tissue, mouse heart tissue, HELA whole cell. IHC: rat kidney tissue, human intestinal cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue. ICC/IF: HepG2 cell. Flow: A549 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 4 (TIMP4) is encoded by the gene TIMP4 located on chromosome 3. It belongs to the family of TIMP genes and is known to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases. Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are a group of proteinases that degrade the components of extracellular matrix. TIMP4 irreversibly binds to MMPs and inactivates them with the help of zinc as a cofactor. The netrin domain of TIMP4 is involved in platelet recruitment and aggregation. Other biological functions include response to cytokine and peptide hormone stimuli and involvement with the ovulation cycle and CNS development.
