PIM2 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) analysis of PIM2 in paraffin embedded Human Heart using PIM2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-142734) at 5 µg/mL. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.

PIM2 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot analysis of PIM2 in HEK293 lysate (10 µg protein in RIPA buffer) using PIM2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-142734) at 0.1 µg/mL. Lane A: HEK293 lysate over expressing Human PIM2 with C-terminal MYC tag probed with PIM2 Antibody. Lane B: Mock-transfected HEK293 probed with PIM2 Antibody. Lane C: HEK293 lysate over expressing Human PIM2 with DYKDDDDK tag probed with anti-MYC Tag (1:1,000). Primary incubations were for 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.

Target Information

PIM proteins (PIM-1, PIM-2 and PIM-3) are oncogene-encoded serine/threonine kinases. PIM-2 is highly homologous to Pim-1 with similar oncogenic functions. PIM-2 is most abundantly expressed in hematopoietic tissues, spleen, thymus, and peripheral blood leukocytes, as well as in testis, small intestine, and colon. PIM-2 overexpression promotes resistance to a host of apoptotic stimuli; its expression is negatively regulated by growth factor depletion. Increased levels of PIM-2 has also been observed in certain cancers.
