Western blot analysis of Mouse Liver Tissue Lysate using Product # PA5-19457, PIWIL1 primary antibody at a dilution of 1 µg/mL (lane 1). Staining of Rat Testis Tissue Lysate at a dilution of 1 µg/mL (lane 2). Blot treated with a secondary HRP-conjugated Goat polyclonal anti-Rabbit antibody was used at a dilution of 1:3000.

The PA5-19457 immunogen is synthetic peptide derived from within residues 800 - 900 of Human PIWIL1.
PA5-19457 detects PIWIL1 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 99 kDa.
Target Information
Hiwi is a member of the Piwi /Argonaute protein family. Hiwi is specifically expressed in germline cells such as spermatocytes and round spermatids during spermatogenesis. Hiwi is also expressed in CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors, but not in CD34- hematopoietic cells, suggesting a role for this gene in the maintenance of hematopoietic stem cells.
