Western blot analysis of PIWIL3 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with PIWIL3 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-89073) using a dilution of 1:3,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Target Information
PIWI-L3 is a member of the PIWI subfamily of Argonaute proteins, evolutionarily conserved proteins containing both PAZ and Piwi motifs that are crucial for the biogenesis and function of small non-coding RNAs and play important roles in stem cell self-renewal, RNA silencing, and translational regulation in diverse organisms. Recent studies have shown that overexpression of PIWI-L3 (as well as other PIWI-like proteins) are potential biomarkers for astrocytic glioma, meningioma, and other cancers.
