Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana
PSA2 is a chloroplast protein required for assembly and stability of photosystem I, helping integrate core subunits and coordinate cofactor insertion for efficient light driven electron transfer. It contributes to formation of the reaction center and proper association of light harvesting components, ensuring robust PSI activity under varying light and stress. Loss or reduced function of PSA2 impairs PSI accumulation, decreases photochemical efficiency, and disrupts redox balance and growth. PSA2 expression aligns with chloroplast development and photosynthetic demand, and its role complements other PSI assembly factors that guide thylakoid biogenesis and repair.
