          Phospho-RXRA (Ser260) Antibody (PA5-105942) in IHC (P)

Immunohistochemistry analysis of Phospho-RXRA (Ser260) in human ovarian cancer. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with Phospho-RXRA (Ser260) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-105942) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. Product Specific Information

Antibody detects endogenous levels of RXR alpha only when phosphorylated at Ser260.

          Target Information

Retinoic Acid (RA; active metabolite of vitamin A) plays a prominent role in regulating the transition of proliferating precursor cells (such as carcinoma cells and neuronal precursors) to postmitotic differentiated cells. The Retinoid X Receptors (RXRs) family (RXR alpha, beta, and gamma), preferentially bind 9-cis -RA and regulate gene transcription by forming heterodimers with a second family of RA receptors. RAs have been suggested to potentially play a therapeutic role in cervical cancer. RAs are known to play key roles in neuronal development and an increasing body of evidence indicates that retinoid signaling may regulate synaptic plasticity and associated learning and memory behaviors.
