Western blot analysis of RNF168 using A) 30 µg 293T whole cell lysate and B) 30 µg whole cell lysate of human RNF168-transfected 293T cells. Samples were loaded onto a 7.5% SDS-PAGE gel and probed with a RNF168 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-31119) at a dilution of 1:5000.

The PA5-31119 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 51 and 316 of Human RNF168.
The complex repair response elicited by DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) includes recruitment of several DNA repair proteins and ubiquitination of H2A-type histones (see MIM 142720). RNF168 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase critical for DSB repair (Stewart et al., 2009 [PubMed 19203578]).
