S100P Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of HepG2 cells, using S100P antibody 11803-1-AP at 1:25 dilution and Rhodamine-labeled goat anti-rabbit IgG (red).Blue pseudocolor = DAPI (fluorescent DNA dye).

S100P Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded human breast cancer using 11803-1-AP (S100P antibody) at dilution of 1:50 (under 10x lens).

S100P Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — HeLa cells were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 11803-1-AP (S100P antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

S100P Antibody in Flow Cytometry (Flow) — 1X10^6 HepG2 cells were stained with 0.2ug S100P antibody (11803-1-AP, red) and control antibody (blue). Fixed with 90% MeOH blocked with 3% BSA (30 min). Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IGG (H+L) with dilution 1:1000.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes include at least 13 members which are located as a cluster on chromosome 1q21; however, this gene is located at 4p16. This protein, in addition to binding Ca2+, also binds Zn2+ and Mg2+. This protein may play a role in the etiology of prostate cancer.
