SCF Antibody (PA5-47290) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of SCF in immersion fixed canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Samples were incubated in SCF polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47290) using a dilution of 15 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature followed by NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to plasma membrane.

In sandwich ELISAs, less than 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant feline SCF is observed, less than 8% cross-reactivity with recombinant human SCF is observed, and less than 0.5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse SCF is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
Stem cell factor (SCF) is the ligand of the c-Kit oncogene and is expressed by various structural and inflammatory cells in the airways. Binding of SCF by the c-Kit receptor leads to homodimerization of the receptor and the activation of signalling pathways such as PI-3, PLC-gamma, Jak/STAT, and MAP kinase pathways. SCF expression leads to the induction of mast cell survival and the expression and release of histamine, pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. The inhibition of the SCF/c-Kit pathway leads to a decrease in histamine levels, mast cell and eosinophil infiltration, IL-4 production and airway hyperresponsiveness, suggesting this pathway may be a useful therapeutic target in inflammatory diseases such as asthma. At least two isoforms of SCF are known to exist.
