Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana
Serrate RNA effector molecule, often called Serrate, is a plant nuclear protein that promotes microRNA biogenesis and precise RNA processing. It works with Dicer like 1 and HYL1 to form the microprocessor complex that converts primary microRNAs into mature microRNAs, supporting regulation of gene expression during development and stress. Serrate also contributes to mRNA splicing and quality control, linking RNA metabolism to growth, phase transitions, and leaf and meristem patterning. Its activity is modulated by phosphorylation and protein interactions, and mutants show defects in microRNA levels, aberrant morphology, and altered stress responses due to impaired RNA processing.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
Protein Aliases: 2810019G02Rik; ARS2; ASR2; ASR2A; ASR2B; ASR2C; ASR2D; serrate
