PA5-30720 targets SGCE in IHC (P) and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-30720 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 232 of Human SGCE.
This gene encodes a member of the sarcoglycan family. Sarcoglycans are transmembrane components in the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex which help stabilize the muscle fiber membranes and link the muscle cytoskeleton to the extracellular matrix. Mutations in this gene have been associated with myoclonus-dystonia syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
