SLC7A11 Antibody (PA5-18599) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of SLC7A11 using SLC7A11 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-18599) in paraformaldehyde fixed A549 cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Primary incubation 1hr (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing vesicle/ER staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL).

Target Information
SLC7A11 (also known as XCT) is a member of a hetromeric, sodium-independent, anionic amino acid transport system. It is highly specific for cysteine and glutamate. SLC7A11 is a mediator of Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpes virus fusion and entry into cells. Increased expression of this protein in primary gliomas is associated with neuronal cell death.
