SOD1 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of HEK-293 cells using 10269-1-AP (SOD1 antibody) at dilution of 1:25 and Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IGG (H+L).

SOD1 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded human liver cancer tissue slide using 10269-1-AP ( SOD1 Antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 40x lens). heat mediated antigen retrieved with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9).

SOD1 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Human placenta tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 10269-1-AP (SOD1 antibody) at dilution of 1:1000 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

SOD1 Antibody in Immunoprecipitation (IP) — IP result of anti-SOD1 (IP:10269-1-AP, 3ug; Detection:10269-1-AP 1:1500) with HEK-293 cells lysate 1000ug.

Target Information

SOD1 (superoxide dismutase) binds copper and zinc ions and is one of two isozymes responsible for destroying free superoxide radicals in the body. This isozyme is a soluble cytoplasmic protein, acting as a homodimer to convert naturally-occuring but harmful superoxide radicals to molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. The other isozyme is a mitochondrial protein. Mutations in this gene have been implicated as causes of familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Rare transcript variants have been reported for this gene.
