SRD5A2 Antibody (PA5-115961) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of SRD5A2 in mouse testis tissue. Samples were treated with formaldehyde and treated with citrate buffer for antigen retrieval, blocked, and incubated (1.5 hours at 22°C) with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115961) at a dilution of 1:100. Secondary staining was applied with HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit.

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total SRD5A2.
Target Information
This gene encodes a microsomal protein expressed at high levels in androgen-sensitive tissues such as the prostate. The encoded protein is active at acidic pH and is sensitive to the 4-azasteroid inhibitor finasteride. Deficiencies in this gene can result in male pseudohermaphroditism, specifically pseudovaginal perineoscrotal hypospadias (PPSH).
