STEAP4 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry of paraffin-embedded human prostate cancer tissue slide using 11944-1-AP (STEAP4 antibody) at dilution of 1:200 (under 40x lens) heat mediated antigen retrieved with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9).

STEAP4 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Human brain tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with 11944-1-AP (STEAP4 antibody) at dilution of 1:500 incubated at room temperature for 1.5 hours.

STEAP4 Antibody in Immunoprecipitation (IP) — IP result of anti-STEAP4 (IP:11944-1-AP, 4ug; Detection:11944-1-AP 1:1000) with 3T3-L1 cells lysate 1200 ug.

Target Information

The six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 4 (STEAP4) is a member of a family of metalloreductases identified as cell-surface antigens in prostate tissue. Similar to two other members of the STEAP family (STEAP 2 and STEAP3), STEAP4 promotes both iron and copper reduction. STEAP4 is highly expressed in placenta, lung, heart and prostate tissues, and overexpressed in prostate cancer cells compared to normal prostate cells. Overexpression of STEAP4 in prostate cells significantly increases cell growth and colony formation, suggesting STEAP4 may have a role in cell proliferation and prostate cancer progression.
