STRN Antibody (PA5-99830) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of STRN in A549 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with STRN polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-99830) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total STRN.
Target Information
Striatin is found in all mammalian cells assayed and may be involved in vesicular transport, dendrite growth, and cellular signaling. It binds Protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) A and C subunits and calmodulin and appears to modulate PP2A activity. It also binds the human homolog of the yeast protein, Mob1, which has been implicated in mitotic progression in yeast. It is a member of a family of proteins that also includes SG2NA and Zinedin. This antibody does not cross-react with SG2NA.
