PA5-30186 targets SULT2A1 in WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The PA5-30186 immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 26 and 285 of Human SULT2A1.
Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the sulfate conjugation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotic compounds. These cytosolic enzymes are different in their tissue distributions and substrate specificities. The gene structure (number and length of exons) is similar among family members. This gene is primarily expressed in liver and adrenal tissues where the encoded protein sulfates steroids and bile acids.
