Syndecan 3 Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of Syndecan 3 in HeLa cells. Samples were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked with 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), incubated with mouse anti-beta tubulin and Syndecan 3 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100116) using a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr, 37°C), and followed by goat anti-rabbit IgG Alexa Fluor 594 (red) and goat anti-mouse IgG Alexa Fluor 488 (green).

Syndecan 3 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Syndecan 3 in human lymph cancer tissue. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer. Samples were blocked with blocking buffer (1.5 hr, 22°C), incubated with Syndecan 3 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100116) using a dilution of 1:100 (1.5 hr, 22°C), followed by HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit.

Syndecan 3 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of Syndecan 3 in COS7 cell lysate (left lane: treated with blocking peptide). Samples were incubated with Syndecan 3 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100116).

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the syndecan proteoglycan family. It may play a role in the organization of cell shape by affecting the actin cytoskeleton, possibly by transferring signals from the cell surface in a sugar-dependent mechanism. Allelic variants of this gene have been associated with obesity.
