TAF8 Antibody (A303-186A) in IP
Detection of human TAF8 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TAF8 antibody (Product # A303-186A) used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. TAF8 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TAF8 antibody BL11241, which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated TAF8, A303-186A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
Transcription factor TFIID is one of the general factors required for accurate and regulated initiation by RNA polymerase II. Mediates both basal and activator-dependent transcription. Plays a role in the differentiation of preadipocyte fibroblasts to adipocytes, however, does not seem to play a role in differentiation of myoblasts. Required for the integration of TAF10 in the TAF complex. May be important for survival of cells of the inner cell mass which constitute the pluripotent cell population of the early embryo.
