PA1-4365 detects the TRICK2 protein in human samples.
PA1-4365 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~26 kDa protein representing TRICK2 in transfected 293T cells.
The PA1-4365 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues L(380) G E R L A K Q K I E D H L L S S G K(398) of human TRICK2.
A subset of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor family contain a conserved intracellular motif, the death domain. A member of this family, TRICK2, the TRAIL (TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand) receptor inducer of cell killing 2) is expressed in a number of cell types, and to particularly high levels in lymphocytes and spleen. TRICK2, like DR4, is a receptor for TRAIL/APO-2L [2,3] and could inhibit TRAIL-induced killing.
