UBQLN2 Antibody (A305-371A) in IP
Detection of human UBQLN2 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-UBQLN2 antibody (Product # A305-371A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. UBQLN2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-UBQLN2 antibody A305-370A. For blotting immunoprecipitated UBQLN2, A305-371A was used at 0.4 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Target Information
This gene encodes an ubiquitin-like protein (ubiquilin) that shares high degree of similarity with related products in yeast, rat and frog. Ubiquilins contain a N-terminal ubiquitin-like domain and a C-terminal ubiquitin-associated domain. They physically associate with both proteasomes and ubiquitin ligases; and thus, are thought to functionally link the ubiquitination machinery to the proteasome to affect in vivo protein degradation. This ubiquilin has also been shown to bind the ATPase domain of the Hsp70-like Stch protein.
