ULK2 Antibody (PA5-77808) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of ULK2 in human neuroblastoma cell line (SK-N-BE). Sample was fixed with 4% formaldehyde (15 min at RT), incubated with ULK2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-77808) using a dilution of 1:100 (1 hour at RT), and followed by Goat Anti-Mouse 488, Phalloidin Texas Red and DAPI secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:200, 1:1000 (60 min at RT) and 1:5000 (5 min at RT). A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77808 was sufficient for detection of ULK2 in 15 µg of Human HeLa Cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects approximately 100 kDa.
Target Information
ULK2, also known as ATG1B, is a key serine/threonine protein kinase probably acting at the most upstream step of autophagosome formation. Knockout of ULK2 results in a severe defect in the autophagy pathway. ULK2 is highly conserved among eukaryotes and shows high homology with its related protein ULK1. Both ULK1 and ULK2 form a complex with ATG13 and FIP200 that mediates TOR signaling and is essential for autophagy. Like ULK1, ULK2 is also thought to be involved in early neuronal growth and differentiation.
