For immunohistochemistry (paraffin) applications, it is recommended to microwave samples prior to staining. For flow cytometry, incubate overnight at 4°C.
Reconstitute with 50-100 ul of distilled water, and dilute further in 0.1M PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C.
VACHt is a member of the vesicular amine transporter family. The encoded transmembrane protein transports acetylcholine into secretory vesicles for release into the extracellular space. Acetylcholine transport utilizes a proton gradient established by a vacuolar ATPase. This gene is located within the first intron of the choline acetyltransferase gene.
