Western blot analysis was performed on Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of Hep G2 (Lane 1), Hep G2 (Condition media) (Lane 2), Caco-2 (Lane 3) and Caco-2 (Condition media) (Lane 4). The blots were probed with Anti-Vitronectin Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Product # 720229, 1-2 µg/mL) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 0.4 µg/mL, 1:2500 dilution). Target Information
VTN is a member of the pexin family. This protein is found in serum and tissues and promotes cell adhesion and spreading, inhibits the membrane-damaging effect of the terminal cytolytic complement pathway, and binds to several serpin serine protease inhibitors. The protein is a secreted protein and exists in either a single chain form or a clipped, two chain form held together by a disulfide bond.
