Immunocytochemistry analysis of WWC1 in A431 cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum. Samples were then incubated in WWC1 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-143889) using a dilution of 5 μg/mL. Target Information
WWC1 (Protein KIBRA) is a probable regulator of the Hippo/SWH signaling pathway. This pathway plays a pivotal role in tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis. WWC1, along with NF2, can synergistically induce the phosphorylation of LATS1 and LATS2. It acts as a transcriptional coactivator of ESR1 - which plays an essential role in DYNLL1-mediated ESR1 transactivation. WWC1 also functions as a regulatior of collagen-stimulated activation of the ERK/MAPK cascade.
