The new Scientific Workflows App from Thermo Fisher Scientific, available in the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, helps researchers get started using cryo-electron microscopy single particle analysis (cryo-EM SPA) with demonstration videos, troubleshooting tips, and a step-by-step guide through the workflow.
As you get up to speed on the cryo-EM SPA workflow, you can choose from video courses such as Getting Started in Cryo-EM, Sample Prep, and Optics and Contrast. You can also access a detailed workflow guide customized to your system’s unique configuration, sample specifications, desired outcomes, and research status. With the lab book section and troubleshooting resources, we’re making it easier for you to feel confident and empowered as you work to achieve your cryo-EM SPA goals.

Our new Scientific Workflows App delivers the support researchers need to get started with cryo-electron microscopy single particle analysis.
The “lite” version of the Scientific Workflows App is free and is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. To download the app, simply search “scientific workflows” in the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. The full version of the app is part of Thermo Scientific’s “Accelerate and Advance” service packages, which deliver remote and on-site applications support, workflow validation service, system remote monitoring, maintenance with labor and spare parts, and much more to users engaging in life sciences research using cryo-EM instrumentation.
For a demo of the Scientific Workflows App, join us on Monday, August 5th at Microscopy & Microanalysis 2019 (M&M 2019) from 3:30 – 4:30 pm at booth #1038 for a fun and engaging happy presentation. We will highlight key features of the app and share our top five tips for success in your cryo-EM workflow. Register here.
