Chen has been working in materials science research since 2005. She decided to dive into the field of electron microscopy in 2010, particularly in addressing challenges related to energy materials. Chen joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in September 2021. Currently, she is exploring challenges and solutions in carbon capture activities.
To date, she has published 61 peer-reviewed articles, including three first-author papers in Physical Review Letters (PRL). She has delivered approximately 60 presentations at conferences, including invited talks at MRS and M&M conferences.
