Representative data for JNK1/JNK2 (Total) Multispecies InstantOne™ ELISA. HEK293 cells untreated (-) or treated with 2 µg/mL anisomycin for 30 min (+). Cells were analyzed by immunoblotting (left) and InstantOne™ ELISA (right). The intensity of the bands at 46 and 54 kDa as detected by immunoblot correlates with InstantOne™ ELISA absorption values.

About This Kit
The InstantOne™ ELISA is specifically engineered for accurate measurement of total human and mouse JNK 1/2 in cell lysates. Detection of rat JNK 1/2 is expected. The InstantOne™ ELISA kit allows for fast analysis of samples in approximately one hour. All reagents used in a traditional sandwich ELISA are added in solution to a plate followed by a wash step and detection with the TMB colorimetric substrate.
Target information
C-Jun N-terminal Kinase (JNK) is also known as Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK8). It belongs to the MAPK superfamily of stress-activated protein kinases. MAPKs are Serine-threonine protein kinases that are activated in response to a variety of extracellular stimuli, and mediate signal transduction from the cell surface to the nucleus. JNK is involved in a wide variety of cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation and development. JNK pathways are activated by stress and inflammatory signals. JNK is expressed as ten different isoforms due to differential mRNA splicing. The predominant forms are JNK1 and JNK2.
