Introducing the Thermo Scientific™ OmniPATH™ COVID-19 Total Antibody ELISA Test, a new serology tests to aid in the detection of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The OmniPATH COVID-19 Total ELISA Antibody Test detects antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 immunoglobulin M (IgM), immunoglobulin A (IgA), and immunoglobulin G (IgG). While IgG is long lasting, IgA and IgM are more transient. That means this total antibody test provides an overall picture of SARS-CoV-2 antibody response, whether the infection happened more recently, or several months ago.
In a single test, the Thermo Scientific™ OmniPATH™ COVID-19 Total Antibody ELISA Test provides a comprehensive look at the adaptive antibody immune response to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, by detecting antibodies to the receptor binding domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit of the spike (S) protein.
