If you’re curious about the Thermo Scientific Talos 12 Transmission Electron Microscope, these live, interactive sessions will give you the chance to see it in action. The experts at our NanoPort Facility in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, will show you how to operate the instrument and demonstrate its imaging workflows with resin-embedded tissue samples.
Don’t miss this chance to get a clear, practical view of how the Talos 12 TEM performs and ask any questions you have during the Q&A session.

Michael received his PhD in Structural Biology from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). He has extensive experience in recombinant protein expression and purification, with a keen interest for structural biology methods, including experience in the full single-particle Cryo-EM pipeline from grid preparation and data collection to data processing and structure refinement.
Javier has more than 10 years of hands-on experience in transmission electron microscopy, and draws on his technical knowledge of electron microscopy to support researchers and guide them toward the most effective solutions for advancing their work. At the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, he specialized in cryo-electron tomography and correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM), as a PhD student. He later joined Thermo Fisher Scientific, expanding his expertise across a broader range of life sciences applications, including room-temperature TEM imaging and single-particle analysis.
Itziar completed her PhD in structural biology by cryo-EM, researching influenza virus replication at Oxford University in 2018, and subsequently expanded her expertise into in situ structural biology by cryo-electron tomography alongside her cryo-EM work at Utrecht University during her post-doctoral research in 2019-2022. She joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2022 where she has been supporting the adoption of cryo-EM technologies in academic life sciences laboratories across EMEA.
