Dysbindin1 Antibody (A303-359A-T) in IP
Detection of human Dysbindin1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-Dysbindin1 antibody (Product # A303-359A) used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. Dysbindin1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-Dysbindin1 antibody A303-360A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated Dysbindin1, A303-360A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Target Information
Dtnbp1 may play a role in organelle biogenesis associated with melanosomes, platelet dense granules, and lysosomes. A similar protein in mouse is a component of a protein complex termed biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex 1 (BLOC-1), and binds to alpha- and beta-dystrobrevins, which are components of the dystrophin-associated protein complex (DPC). Mutations are associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 7. This protein may also be associated with schizophrenia.
