TBC1D1 Antibody (A305-225A-T) in IP
Detection of human TBC1D1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TBC1D1 antibody (Product # A305-225A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. TBC1D1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-TBC1D1 antibody A305-226A. For blotting immunoprecipitated TBC1D1, A305-225A was used at 0.4 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Target Information
The product of this gene is a microtubule-associated protein that is predominantly expressed in cells of epithelial origin. Microtubule-associated proteins are thought to be involved in microtubule dynamics, which is essential for cell polarization and differentiation. This protein has been shown to be able to stabilize microtubules, and may serve to modulate microtubule functions. Studies of the related mouse protein also suggested an essential role in microtubule function required for spermatogenesis.
